Melanie Horning, Spiritual Director
Melanie was introduced to the transformative practice of listening to her life’s story, her body,
emotions, internal dialogue, and experience of God at a Soul Care Intensive in 2014. This experience moved her to begin meeting regularly with a spiritual director as she sought to continue growing and deepening her relationship with God. In 2015 she made the decision to go through training so that she herself could offer spiritual direction to others. She considers it a privilege to offer Christ-centered spiritual direction and have a front row seat to the miracle of transformation as individuals discover their worth, belovedness and delightfulness to God.
In 2024 Melanie completed additional training through the Jesuit Institute of South Africa that allows her to offer the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises to those who desire this retreat in daily living. The Spiritual Exercises are a compilation of meditations, prayers, and contemplative practices developed by St. Ignatius Loyola to help people deepen their relationship with God. This is a program that involves a commitment to daily prayer and weekly meetings with a spiritual director for 9-12 months as you journey prayerfully through the exercises.

Sean Rajnic, LPC, Spiritual Director
Since his graduation with a Masters in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 1995, Sean has worked in various roles in the field of mental health including as a private-practice therapist, pastoral counselor, co-occurring diagnoses clinical case manager, and supervisor. As a therapist Sean has served clients of many backgrounds experiencing various challenges including depression/anxiety and other mood disorders, emotional and physical trauma and neglect, substance abuse and other addictive behaviors, relational problems, grief and loss, men’s issues, life transition issues, and issues of life purpose and meaning. In his approach Sean strives to see the whole person, looking beyond the problems and struggles that have brought them into therapy toward the person God created them to be. For Sean, developing a sense of trust and collaboration between himself, the client, and God is the heart of therapy. In service of these relationships Sean utilizes various approaches to therapy, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), all working to support his clients’ goals and direction. Though currently serving as a full-time therapist, Sean also served in pastoral ministry for 16 years and is a spiritual director with a certification from Kairos University. This background and experience allows Sean to serve as a spiritual director and enables him to work comfortably within his therapy clients’ spiritual lives. Sean also serves as a guest teacher in local churches as well as a retreat facilitator. Having first been licensed as a Professional Counselor in 2000 in Colorado, Sean is currently licensed in Pennsylvania.
